Helen Walthorne, Director

Helen Walthorne has extensive experience in property sector. She started work in Stoke City Council Housing Department in the 1980s.  Helen worked for many years as a Programme Manager implementing Housing systems for local housing Authorities. She has a strong legal and regulatory background in local authority’s housing.

Helen is an expert on Houses of Multiple Occupancy HMO regulations and works closely with the local authorities.  The MayChild Team are approved by Coventry City Council and Warwick District Councils to hold HMO licenses.

Helen has her own private portfolio of residential and HMO lettings giving her personal first-hand experience of being investor and landlord. Helen’s knowledge and strong organisational skills have blended beautifully with the business to provide the highest level of advice and service.

Living in Kenilworth for many years and having been a local town Councillor, Helen has a solid knowledge of the area and is always happy to advise new comers.

MayChild has gained local recognition since Helen started the business in 2011. Helen said “I am proud that the MayChild Team and I have won many national and local awards as an Independent Letting Agent”

Pamela Whyteleaf, Senior Property Consultant

Pam is a dedicated member of the MayChild Team.  She has extensive experience in helping clients. She has spent many years working with areas of Housing Law and provides sound advice.

Pam began her journey over 25 years ago as an advisor with Citizens Advice. She managed the bureaux before transitioning into the corporate world and running national legal helplines.  For many years, Pam has offered advice and support to both landlords and tenants on their rights and responsibilities.

After attending the University Pam moved back to Kenilworth where she settled with her son.  Pam has an excellent local knowledge of the housing, facilities and schools to help people moving to the area.

Pam said “I have a passionate belief in the principle of treating each person as an individual, not a number on a conveyor belt. I believe in the value of taking time to understand someone’s needs and hopes and offering a professional, approachable and efficient service to help them realise that.”

Meet the Team - Helen Hill

Helen Hill, Property Consultant

Helen´s  first job was in an architects’ practice back in 1991.  This ignited her passion for the property market.

Helen is a local lady and grew up in the area.  Helen and her family bought, extended and renovated their current family home in Kenilworth 15 years ago. Her interest in following the local property markets.  This lead Helen invested in her own residential lets.

She has 3 daughters with her husband, who keep her busy with their out of school activities and holidays.  Helen said ´they encourage me to do crazy things like jump off mountains attached to a parachute!´.
